    Assistant Director for Sponsored Research
I am the Assistant Director for Sponsored Research at IHMC. I received a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Language Arts at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and a Master of Science in Administration with an emphasis in Public Administration from the University of West Florida. I am the Logistics Coordinator for the Blue Sky and EVA projects at IHMC. I was previously an English and Drama teacher in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Greensboro, Alabama. While teaching school, I also wrote and was awarded numerous grants for the Hale County School system ranging from security surveillance systems to implementing the School Development Program. Prior to teaching, I was the Program Manager for the Department of Planning and Community Development for Tuscaloosa County. I was in charge of the grant writing and the E911 addressing department. While attending the University of Alabama, I was the Technical Processor and the Special Collections Assistant in charge of the Jay Wesley Murphy Collection at the Law School Library. Outside of IHMC, I volunteer as the grant writer for Milk and Honey Outreach Ministries, a non profit company which offers a free program that focuses on making economically disadvantaged students successful in school, establishing a positive self-image, building ties with family, and improving social interaction skills.
