    Research Associate

Marco is a Computer Science engineer with a B.Sc. (2002) from the Costa Rica Institue of Technology (ITCR - Costa Rica).

Before joining IHMC in 2001, he worked for the Lincos Project in the design and development of the Telemedicine application.

At IHMC Marco has worked for the CmapTools project. His participation involves the creation and use of technologies related to the web search and information retrieval.

He has also been involved with several projects regarding Agile Computing, among those Mockets (an STCP-like user-level network transport infrastructure), and the creation of a service-oriented framework that is optimized for wireless mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs).

Marco is experienced in the design and implementation of routing protocols optimized for MANETs, as well as in technologies for emulating wireless ad-hoc networks for experimentation.

Marco is currently finishing a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of West Florida.
